Editorial standards

Keep the joke. Keep the receipts.

A good punchline should not depend on confusing a fictional scene with something a person actually did.

Real footage keeps its identity

Greatest Hits lists the original publisher, publication date and source link for each selected video. Those dates refer to the upload where that is the available record; they are not a guarantee of when an interview or hearing took place. We use official embedded players and describe the treatment. The footage belongs to its publishers; our selection and editorial notes are our contribution.

Our selection adds a point of view

Policy Clarity asks what a proposal would change, who it is for and what a viewer still needs to know. Sick Burns highlights delivery, contrast and a memorable reply. The latter is entertainment, not an independent fact-check label. We keep the full source link available because a short exchange cannot carry every qualification.

Promises and completed work are different

Winning an argument is not passing a law. Announcing funding is not the same as completing every intended service. A fictional neighborhood transformation does not establish a politician’s personal responsibility for a real project. The game chapter and comic source notes are where those distinctions belong.

Fiction is part of the format

The games and musical cartoons put public figures in invented situations. Animated dialogue, battles, celebrations and song performances are authored satire. They are not synthetic evidence of a real event. Source footage and documentary records, where used, remain identifiable as such.

Corrections and rights

If a description, source link, credit or date is wrong, send the page and the specific correction. Include supporting material where you can. Rights holders can use the same contact for a permissions concern. We can revise our presentation without silently changing what a source speaker actually said.

Financial-policy updates and corrections are recorded separately in the Community Pot.
