Original music video
Freeze the Rent
An original political music video that turns a rent slogan into an arcade-world performance.
The story
Freeze the Rent takes the compressed language of a campaign slogan and treats it as the hook for an original musical cartoon. The work belongs to the same playful world as the arcade, but the music video is its own authored sequence rather than footage of a real campaign appearance.
How the music and picture work together
The soundtrack also appears in electronic arrangements in the arcade jukebox. Those mixes give the same musical idea different pacing and texture for longer listening sessions. They are alternate arrangements, not additional real speeches or candidate performances.

Animated scenes and lyrics are satire. They should not be quoted as a candidate’s real words. Read how we separate documented material from fiction.
