Original music video

Name the Day

A Talarico-centered country music video with Texas settings and political cartoon storytelling.

The story

Name the Day puts a political character into a musical world: a Texas dance hall, a country arrangement and cartoon scenes edited to the song. The video is the authored performance; it is not an interview with James Talarico or a recording of him singing.

How the music and picture work together

The picture and the song are separate parts of the production. Character scenes establish the comic setting, while cuts and reactions carry the musical phrasing. The accompanying audio-only version in the jukebox is a separate listening presentation, so its running time can differ from the video.

Animated scenes and lyrics are satire. They should not be quoted as a candidate’s real words. Read how we separate documented material from fiction.
